Homemade Mosquito Repellent

Image
Since I wasn't thrilled with any of the  bug repellent recipes  I found online,  I combined ingredients from a few different concoctions to create my own! 1/2 cup distilled (or boiled) water 11/2 cups witch-hazel (sell at major grocers or Walgreens in the skincare sections) 1/8 to 1/4 cup baby oil 1/8 cup rubbing alcohol (optional) 6-8 whole cloves (sell in spice section at any grocery store) 10-12 drops of a mosquito-deterring essential oil: Lemon Eucalyptus , Basil, Sage, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Citronella, Patchouli, Eucalyptus, or Cinnamon all work well, I recommend buying your essential oils from a reputable company such as Whole Foods A spray or oil bottle to hold and dispense your concoction Mix it all up, use it!   It works, smells good, is all-natural and leaves skin feeling soft. For those of you that don't like the idea of baby oil because it seems 'cheap' well, it is cheap, a lot cheaper than using only essential oils.
