Homemade Mosquito Repellent

Since I wasn't thrilled with any of the bug repellent recipes I found online, I combined ingredients from a few different concoctions to create my own!

1/2 cup distilled (or boiled) water
11/2 cups witch-hazel (sell at major grocers or Walgreens in the skincare sections)
1/8 to 1/4 cup baby oil
1/8 cup rubbing alcohol (optional)
6-8 whole cloves (sell in spice section at any grocery store)
10-12 drops of a mosquito-deterring essential oil: Lemon Eucalyptus, Basil, Sage, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Citronella, Patchouli, Eucalyptus, or Cinnamon all work well, I recommend buying your essential oils from a reputable company such as Whole Foods
A spray or oil bottle to hold and dispense your concoction

Mix it all up, use it!

It works, smells good, is all-natural and leaves skin feeling soft.

For those of you that don't like the idea of baby oil because it seems 'cheap' well, it is cheap, a lot cheaper than using only essential oils. If you're willing and able to use only essential oils instead of the baby oil then go for it.
The baby oil is effective against mosquitoes being able to adhere to the skin.
And, as mentioned, the alcohol is optional if that bothers you too.
