You are Doing Your Best and That's Good Enough

Image
Recently I changed the name of my blog to  Be Your Best You!     I purchased a new domain and am working to spruce things up online.     This is out of my comfort zone since I'm not a tech-savvy person.     I am, however, a long-time-practitioner of creative visualization, meditation and energy healing.         At 38 years old I'm grateful to have: my health, a loving, healthy husband and son, my education and a little dog walking business (I could go on but I won't!).         I feel fortunate and proud to primarily be a stay at home mom with my nearly-4-year-old-son, although I know that's not for everyone!     There's no 'one size fits all' in life.         Along the way I've learned a lot through trial and error and feel enlightened much of the time.     Hopefully some of what I've learned, and practice on a daily basis, can he...

Affirmations, MEDITATIONS for the Week, Release and LET GO

Image
These are meant to do, visualize and practice  daily, ideally one per day. Go Easy on Yourself I am not my thoughts. Worries, preoccupations leave my mind. I see negative thoughts leaving my mind, floating off into the distance like a soft, evaporating haze. I see the worries disappear into thin air.  I release that which no longer serves me. I breathe in love and breathe out peace to the world. I am not my thoughts. Only goodness is permitted in my thinking space. I appreciate experiences and moments. I am present. Trust the Universe, God, Life... I allow life to carry me, as the leaf allows the river to carry it. The leaf is so  light , it flows with the river.  The leaf may stick to a rock here and there and that's fine. As the river flows, life flows. As the leaf is carried along  gently, easily  and  effortlessly  by the river, so too am I carried along gently, easily and effortlessly by  Life....

Three POWERFUL Affirmations and Meditations

Image
On Letting Love Flow Love flows through me effortlessly. I am a channel through which love can easily flow. I am an instrument which love can easily play. It is for me to keep the instrument in tune and ready to be played, It is for me to keep the channel free of clutter and open for love to navigate and flow freely. For when I have faith in love, I have faith in life. And for when I have faith in life, I have nothing to fear.  On Quieting the Mind It's not for me to judge. Let me be humble. Let me anticipate with great joy all that is  good to come  in these next minutes and days. I consciously live in a state of being ; this helps me quiet the chatter of the mind. On Existing on a Spiritual Plane In a realm beyond space and time exists my soul. I close my eyes to imagine my skin, then bones, dissipate into nothingness. And what remains is an energy field... my soul, my spirit. I am more than my body and mind and ...

The More Good You Do The Less Bad You'll Do A Poem

Image
The more good you do The less bad you'll do It sounds so simple but it's so very true Because doing good makes you feel good Even more so than you knew it would Doing good gives you energy, health and vitality And makes you appreciate life and see it how it's supposed to be- Beautiful, miraculous, amazing and true And you're a part of that good... yes, you ! So do good, do your part It doesn't take much to go ahead and start Do it today and if it must wait until tomorrow write it down so you won't forget Because the  good flame will burn on once the candle is lit! Inspired by a day with horses Me, riding down a path at a friend's farm as Sammy looked on.

The Impact of Perception... can be funny

Image
"Perception is Everything." If you don't realize this yet, you should, beginning now. There's a plethora of examples I could give to support this statement, however typing them out will seem redundant since this is already one of my core beliefs/perceptions. But here are a few anyhow... Karen Carpenter, a talented singer and drummer, died at the age of 32 in the 80's due to complications from anorexia. She perceived herself as fat. It didn't matter that she was very thin (google her pic), in her mind's eye she perceived herself as fat, therefore deprived herself of food and nutrition to the point it cost her her own life. Jim Carrey, a talented actor and comedian, was an unknown, struggling artist living in a trailer park with a 'bunch of siblings' in the 80's. He wrote himself a check for $10 million in 1987, dating it November 1995. In 94' he made the first "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" movie and did go on to make $10 mill...

-To 'follow your gut' you must be first be open to hear its message

Has anyone ever told you, "Just follow your gut/heart?" Of course they have, most likely you hear it every time you're presented with a perplexing choice or in a state of confusion. However has anyone told you how to follow your gut, how to get in tune with what your heart truly wants? It can be trickier than it sounds. Better yet, has anyone said those 4 words (just follow your gut) only to ridicule or warn you, laugh at you or even look at you like you're stark crazy when you share what it is your gut is actually telling you? -Of course they have.... many people are so closed off from their true desires and purpose in life that they cringe when someone else is brave enough to actually tap in to their own. It scares them and they're doing what they've been taught to do since childhood- fear the unknown. That's what we've all been taught. I have struggled and worked for years of my life trying to break the code of knowing what to do / what I'...

Why in order to Prosper & be Fruitful you must 1st truly believe you deserve it

Do you know someone who is constantly given seemingly golden opportunities only to throw them away? At first the person may be thrilled with the job offer, the lease, the smart, witty, attractive partner but within a short time he or she does something to sabotage the relationship, get fired or just 'have to leave' the great job... barely misses the lease deadline, etc. This may even sound like you. I don't know. Then there are those individuals who aren't even the brightest, cutest or even most likable, but they seem to succeed in all their endeavors. -When there is an underlying belief that you don't 'deserve' what life is offering you, there's no way for you to keep it. Oftentimes a person doesn't even know he bears this psychological burden. It can be quite cunning and complex. I was reminded of this just yesterday. -I have been making and selling candles for approx. 6 months; this is a new business and typically it's not easy to sell ...
